Hinokitiol (Beta-T)
Hinokitiol is Riversol’s signature antioxidant, derived from the Pacific red cedar. Riversol founder and award-winning dermatologist Dr. Jason Rivers was first introduced to its potential during his time teaching at UBC, and made it the foundation of Riversol formulas. Known for its antioxidant properties, hinokitiol helps improve skin clarity, brighten the look of dark spots and support a more even-looking complexion.
Tranexamic Acid
The latest development in skin brightening, dark spot, and acne scar reducing research. Tranexamic acid has been shown in many peer-reviewed studies to lighten the appearance of dark spots and visibly even skin tone across a variety of skin types.
Niacinamide
AKA Vitamin B3, a multitasking antioxidant working to prevent moisture loss, and smooth surface texture to brighten skin. Niacinamide has been shown in double-blind, randomized trials to be nearly as effective as prescription ingredients at reducing discoloration and age spots.
Kojic Acid

Why is Corrector V2 changing colour?

Corrector V2 may gradually change colour due to the natural oxidation of kojic acid, one of its key ingredients. This is a normal process that can happen over time when the formula is exposed to air.

That is also why we package Corrector V2 in airless packaging. It helps slow oxidation and preserve the formula for longer.

Even as the colour changes, the formula remains effective. Ingredients like tranexamic acid and niacinamide continue to perform as intended, so you can keep using Corrector V2 with confidence.
