Key ingredients

  • Retinol - 0.5%
Hyperpigmentation, pore size, and fine line reduction

  • Hinokitiol (Beta-T)
Hinokitiol is Riversol’s signature antioxidant, derived from the Pacific red cedar. Riversol founder and award-winning dermatologist Dr. Jason Rivers was first introduced to its potential during his time teaching at UBC, and made it the foundation of Riversol formulas. Known for its antioxidant properties, hinokitiol helps improve skin clarity, brighten the look of dark spots and support a more even-looking complexion.

  • Booster Complex
A combination of vitamin C, which helps retinol penetrate more deeply, and a gel delivery system that keeps the active ingredients next to the skin throughout the day.

  • Vitamin C
The Riversol vitamin C (Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate) is 10x more photostable than traditional vitamin C. This means lasting antioxidant protection to reduce the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots.

  • Shea Butter
Shea butter is a gentle and effective moisturizer. It contains oleic acid, a saturated fatty acid which is highly compatible with the sebum naturally produced by human skin. This makes Shea Butter readily absorbed and is said to help the absorption of other active ingredients.

FAQ /

Retinol Treatment Travel Pack FAQ

What is Hinokitiol (Beta-T)?

Hinokitiol (Beta-T) is our signature antioxidant found in the Pacific red cedar. Studied for decades, it has been proven to have natural antibiotic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and other natural skin-revitalizing properties. It helps even skin tone, reduce the look of sun damage and help correct dark spots.

Is Riversol hypoallergenic?

All Riversol products are produced and tested to the highest standards of tolerance on sensitive skin. They are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, colorant-free and cruelty free.

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Riversol products are dermatologist-developed for sensitive skin. Dr. Jason Rivers first created Riversol for patients who struggled to find skincare that delivered results without unnecessary irritation. That same philosophy guides our fragrance-free, paraben-free formulas, made with low-irritant ingredients chosen to support skin comfort.

What's the difference between Corrector V2, Anti-Aging Reparative Serum and Retinol Treatment?

The Corrector V2 was developed for dark spots and uneven skin tone. With ingredients like kojic acid, niacinamide and tranexamic acid, it helps reduce the appearance of dark spots while targeting visible discoloration at multiple stages for improved clarity and a more even-looking complexion.

Our Retinol Treatment helps visibly smooth and soften fine lines and wrinkles. Formulated for sensitive skin, it helps accelerate surface cell turnover to refine skin texture and reveal fresher, smoother-looking skin over time.

Our Anti-Aging Serum contains our highest concentration of vitamin C to help brighten skin and provide antioxidant protection. Think of Anti-Aging Serum as your daily essential, while Retinol Treatment and Corrector V2 help further target specific concerns. All three can be used carefully within the same routine.

Can I use retinols with acid peels?

To help minimize irritation, do not layer this product with other retinol products or acids like Exfoliating Glycolic Peel on the same day. Apply them on separate days instead.

Are there any precautions I should take when using retinols?

Retinols can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. We strongly recommend that you use an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, limit your sun exposure and wear protective clothing.

Do not use retinol products on the same evening you apply acid peels like Exfoliating Glycolic Peel. Avoid layering different retinol products to minimize the chance of irritation.

Although there are a few studies suggesting it to be safe, experts still suggest pregnant women avoid applying retinol formulations.
