There are two Riversol cleansers to choose from: The Refreshing Gel cleanser to clean and balance oily and combination skin, or the Hydrating Cream cleanser to gently cleanse normal to very dry skin.
A cleanser that supports your skin type skin makes a world of difference. Riversol cleansers gently break down light makeup, sweat, impurities and daily grime, while protecting your moisture barrier. These cleansers do just that, leaving your skin feeling fresh, clean and properly hydrated. Even more importantly, your skin is now ready to absorb the next product in your anti-aging routine.

Designed for normal to dry skin, this cleanser provides a deep clean to remove dirt and impurities. The creamy formulation never over-dries the skin.
How to Use
Use AM and PM as your first or second cleanse. A dime-size amount is all you need. Massage onto your face and neck, then rinse well and pat away excess water. If you’re wearing sunscreen or heavy makeup, a second cleanse is recommended. While the skin is still damp, apply Anti-Aging Serum.

Week 01:
Start by using the cleanser, followed by the moisturizer. Once per day.
Week 02:
Now you can introduce the Anti-Aging Reparative Serum. Just a small amount every other day after cleansing and before moisturizing. Continue to use the cleanser & moisturizer once every day.
Week 03:
Use all 3 products (cleanser, serum, moisturizer) twice per day. Once in the morning and once at night.

Vitamin C
Possibly the most well-known antioxidant – but also the most misunderstood. Not all vitamin C compounds are the same. It’s possible that 20% vitamin C serum might deliver drastically fewer benefits than an 8% serum. That’s because there are many different forms of vitamin C that penetrate to different depths of the skin, as well as its infamous instability. Vitamin C is so fussy that it can quickly break down if temperature, light, pH and even oxygen levels aren’t ideal.

Think of vitamin E as vitamin C’s mighty little sister.
Known as “the protector” vitamin E is a workhorse that’s in many of our products.
Beta-T
Before starting Riversol, Dr. Rivers had an encounter with a forestry expert at the University of British Columbia. Through this conversation, he learned about beta-thujaplicin (BAY-ta-THOO-ya-PLEE-sin), or beta-t for short.
Beta-t is a powerful antioxidant derived from the oil of the Pacific red cedar tree.
Dr. Rivers began his own research into this compound and realized the incredible potential it held for skincare. With over 120 peer-reviewed scientific papers on beta-t, the research was undeniable.
What can beta-t help with?
- As a powerful antioxidant, it helps prevent or reduce the effects caused by the oxidative damage from free radicals and environmental stresses such as pollution and UV rays.
- It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties, which help to minimize redness, flakiness and superficial irritation.
- By blocking the enzyme that triggers melanin production (tyrosinase), beta-t helps with the treatment of hyperpigmentation.
Like many other potent ingredients, beta-t is also highly unstable. To get it into a form that’s not only stable but also able to penetrate the skin took Riversol chemists years of work. It remains a rare ingredient in the skincare industry, but one we believe so strongly in that it’s featured in nearly every one of our products. You could say that beta-t is in our DNA.

That’s why Riversol uses only a particularly stable form of vitamin C (aminopropyl ascorbyl phosphate), which is 10x more stable than traditional forms of vitamin C.
What can vitamin C help with?
- It does all the things other antioxidants do to protect against free radicals, but it can actually also improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as overall skin texture.
- It has anti-inflammatory properties that control sebum (oil) production in the skin, helping to not only control the formation of acne but also fading past acne scars.
- When used in combination with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, vitamin C can help protect the skin from harmful UV rays. It can also reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation by blocking the production of pigment in the skin.

- As a powerful antioxidant it protects the skin from free radicals, UV rays and pollution. These aggressors are everywhere, which is why vitamin E in your daily skincare is a great way to protect skin and slow down the signs of aging and inflammation.
- In terms of UV protection, vitamin E has both immediate and long-term benefits. It helps reduce redness, swelling and sunburn development. It can even enhance the effectiveness of sunscreens (but it’s not a substitute for broad spectrum sunscreen!). Long-term, it will lessen signs of photoaging such as wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
- Unlike many other antioxidants, vitamin E is oil-soluble, meaning it feels more “cushiony” than others. It’s a very hydrating element because not only does it serve as a humectant (attracts water into skin), it’s an emollient as well (trapping that water in the skin, preventing evaporation). It's another way to protect your skin's ability to keep the good stuff in and the bad stuff out.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will this last?
The cleanser, serum and moisturizer will last around four months. This is based on using them twice a day, at recommended amounts.
Some people find that the cleanser lasts a lot longer, so they finish their serum and moisturizer first. For them, we have our
duos (including the serum and moisturizer combination) that can be purchased to help even out the rates of usage.
Do you have smaller sizes?
Yes! The anti-aging trio is also available in travel sizes. The sizes are TSA-approved for easy travel, but they’re also great in your gym bag, to keep at your partner’s place or even at work. So you’ll never have to compromise your skincare routine again.
Can I get one for sensitive skin? Or, I didn’t order the sensitive skin option?
Everything at Riversol is suitable for sensitive skin! As a dermatologist-developed brand, we couldn’t have it any other way.
Meeting the needs of sensitive skin was, and continues to be, really important. You get the advantage and efficacy of science-based formulas,
without any of the irritation.
What’s also important is making powerful, potent formulas. So even if you don’t specifically have sensitive skin, these products are still going
to give you the anti-aging results you’re looking for.
Will this help with my wrinkles?
Yes! All three products were developed to fight the signs of aging, especially when used together as a team. Over time they’ll help soften wrinkles and fine lines, improve skin texture, and fade dark spots.
Can I switch products in the trio?
Yes! All our bundles, including this one, are customizable depending on whether you have very dry, dry/normal, combination or oily skin. The most common combinations are available on our website, but if you don’t see exactly what you’d like just give our amazing customer service team a call or drop us an email. We’d love to fully customize a skincare bundle for you!
Are these products gluten-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, cruelty-free and vegan?
The products in the Anti-Aging bundle are fragrance-free, cruelty-free and vegan. They are also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, which have
independently tested by a third-party lab.
While we don’t include any wheat-based ingredients in our skincare, it’s possible that the facility that makes our products has wheat-based ingredients
on premises. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that our products are 100% gluten-free. If you have a serious contact allergy with gluten, please consult a
physician when introducing a new skincare to your routine.
Do your products contain chemicals?
Actually, nearly everything is a chemical. Salt (NaCl), alcohol (C2H6O) and even water (H2O) all have chemical bonds that help atoms stick together
to create these familiar and much loved molecules.
But we’re guessing when you say, “chemicals”, you’re concerned about harmful chemicals, like PFAS (per- and polyfluoriniated alkyl substances also known
as “Forever Chemicals”), formaldehyde, benzene, lead or mercury.
No, our products do not contain these harmful chemicals.
Can I use these if I’m already using Tretinoin (retinol)?
It’s best to avoid using other retinols, topical acne treatments and products containing salicylic acid. Some ingredients, like benzoyl peroxide, can actually neutralize the retinol. However, other ingredients like vitamin C actually boost the efficacy of retinol, so as long as you’re allowing your skin to adjust to each new product and product-combination, our Anti-Aging Serum is safe to use while using any retinol, including Tretinoin.
Why are your products so expensive?
The cost of skincare is dependent on a few things, some we won’t compromise on. Premium ingredients and the lack of fillers means our formulas are concentrated – this makes them an excellent value. Rigorous research and development means we’re investing in creating better products, not more products – you can trust everything we deliver. And, don’t forget, we’re Canadian. This means we don’t have the same economies of scale that some of our competitors benefit from (same start-up costs, much smaller population). We’re also subject to intense regulatory scrutiny, which is both expensive and time consuming. But, again, we’d never compromise on any of these factors if it means bringing you better products.
Are these safe to use if I’m pregnant or breast-feeding?
Yes! The products in the Anti-Aging Trio are all safe to use while pregnant or breast-feeding. Ingredients you do want to stay away from during this period are retinol and benzoyl peroxide. Neither of these ingredients are in the products in this anti-aging skincare bundle.
